New Locums Primary Care Job - Start ASAP in Texas
Will be responsible for the effective delivery of high quality medical services to individuals with intellectual disabilities served. Work involves direct delivery of clinical practices and monitoring of medical services, participating in treatment team process, advocate for the medical needs of persons serviced, and working with the individual's families, Family Nurse Practitioners, and with consultants and community medical providers in other medical specialty areas. This position reports directly to the Medical Director and works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Provide treatment to HHS employees injured in course and scope of employment.
Essential Job Functions:
Attends work on a regular basis and may be required to work an extended shift and/or overtime and performs other duties as assigned. Participates in interdisciplinary planning conference and personal support team meetings for individuals and provides medical information to parents as appropriate. Performs daily routine sick call clinics for assigned units to include evaluation of illness, injury, and abuse/neglect; rotates on call duties to include nights and weekends. Prepares annual medical reports for the residents with complete assessment and yearly objectives and laboratory analysis. Refers and consults with admitting physicians at local hospitals when necessary.
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm
